Participants included high school teachers, professional journalists, program directors and colleagues. The entire presentation including q & a lasted approximately 50 minutes. To see my webinar go to the HSBJ site and click on the watch social media tools archived webinar link on the left side of the page.
It's all about choice. You can either let the pirates inside and outside of the industry run wild or you can give the audience options. Some people still prefer the Theatre experience. Others, do not. It's just another way to generate income. The movie theatres are already on the ropes with projectors becoming smaller and cheaper. This change is happening with or without the industry's blessing. I just make viable suggestions. They are not mandatory. At least, they could make some money.

If films were released on iTunes and on DVD at the same time they came out in theaters, then all the theaters would be out of business. When it costs $18 to go see a movie and $20 to buy the DVD, why would I ever go to a theater? The only reason is because I can't get it on DVD *yet*.
